“The first forward leap by Indian Translators Association (ITAINDIA) since its establishment was its inclusion as Regular Member of International Federation of Translators (FIT) during the FIT World Congress held in Shanghai, Aug. 2008. The next major step by ITAINDIA is the timely initiative of organizing the National Conference on ‘Language and Translation Industry of India: Opportunities and Challenges’ on 17-18 April 2009 jointly with Linguaindia Foundation and with institutional support of Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysore.”
